Mason Jar Flowers

I made chocolate strawberries with strawberries I traded a bouquet for at the market. They were tiny ones so I made some Chocolate covered banana pieces also.

It has been crazy around here with flower orders for retirement parties, family reunions, weddings, funerals and graduation parties!

I delivered these mason jar arrangements to the Mohawk River Country Club for a retirement party. Each design is a mix of Sunflowers, Asters, Queen Anns Lace, Zinnias, Ferns, Rudbeckia, Lavender, Sweetpeas, Nigella, Bachelors Buttons, Love Grass, Mini snapdragons and a few cleome & ageratums. There are river rocks in the bottom of each jar. They are my favorite design of the week! So bright : )

Flowers in the house!!

One of my mini Sweet William bouquets. These were very popular at the markets this week.

My florists are loving the stock this year. I def have made a note to grow more of that antique apricot color next season.

Sweet peas are blooming in the high tunnel! : ) Side note: That limited edition Loreal Paris "Silver Star" polish is my new fav!

Happy Monday to all.

( now I must return to the field to plant a few thousand more Celosia & direct seed more ornamental grasses. woooo! )

Flower Love

There was a little girl that spent all her time picking flowers around her mothers gardens and soon fell in love with them. 20 years later that love is still going strong. <3

( My mom found these pics while looking for something in the bottom of her china cabinet. Just thought I would share. )

Hope your all having a great weekend. : )

Fun in the studio : )

Bouquet Sunflowers are blooming like crazy!

Things are busy here on the farm! Harvesting blooms, planting and direct seeding, bouquet making, deliveries to florists, farmers markets on the weekends, getting all the paperwork done for a huge farm loan I am getting this year to build more high tunnels && a huge rose garden, meeting with brides for wedding flowers. This work just sucks me in, I can't believe it's almost July already!

Lilacs!

The first Lilacs are starting to bloom && they look great with our bright green viburnums! The mini bouquets with that duo sold very quickly. : )

Farmers Markets have been a great way to get the word out about our wedding designs.

Our Lavender Products are selling more and more each week. We have Lavender sugar, spice, powdered sugar, culinary buds, dried lavender bouquets and sachets. Soon we will be selling little lavender plants that our customers have been requesting.
SPOILER ALERT!: Some lavender bath && body products are in the works as well. Those will be available to our farmers market customers && also on our Etsy shop we are creating. More on that soon!!

The first Peony I have ever forced. Due to the large request I got last year for Peonies earlier than June, I potted some tubers and grew them in my greenhouse. This made some customers and two brides very happy because they were able to get my Peonies in May instead of June. Dont worry, Peony Madness will still go on in June, the Peony && Sweet Pea bouquets will be fought over by my fragrance loving customers once again!!

Farm Updates: Fields have been plowed & thousands of transplants && seeds will be added as soon as this rain decides to give us a break!! What is up with that Mother Nature??

Hope you all had a wonderful Monday : )

Spring Market Success!!

I spent Mothers Day at the Schenectady Greenmarket && just as I had done on Easter, I sold every stem I had! This is my first year at Schenectady && I feel very lucky to be a part of such a great market. I have met so many awesome people there already && I can tell its going to be a fantastic season.

My Dad and Jordan

This jar set up for the bouquets is a hit! I get tons of comments on how great it looks. I can't put all my bouquets on the table so I just keep all the extra pre-made bouquets in the back && as people buy them I put a new one in the jar so the table always looks full.

The Penny Cress that stole the show on Mothers Day. Everyone loved it. : )

This gentleman is by far the best dressed man at the farmers market! He always buys a flower for his Lapel. Thats awesome!

Happy bumble bee on tulip. I was so stoked I caught that with my cell cam.

My mini bouquets for M-Day

This many buckets empty only half way through the market was thrilling!!
I hope all my bouquets made tons of moms happy.

P.S. - For M-Day I got a new trowel && jean shorts && colorful tank tops. Thanks to my adorable boys and my wonderful man for the great gifts!
