Books && Bulbs

I am researching away for my new planting of Peonies that will be added to my farm this season. Yayyy!

Someone around here thinks they are funny. "Helping plant bulbs"
I am going to look at lawn mowers because all I have is a ride mower && it is to big to fit in between my flower rows. I am not very savy with things that have motors, thats more of my boyfriends department so I will take him along for some advice. Plus when it comes to cutting grass it cant hurt to bring a professional landscaper with you. : )

Wish me luck. Hopefully I can find what I need && even better if its on sale!!!

Ell -- Ohh -- Vee -- Eee

These must be Mother Nature's pumps
The amount of heels && wellies I own have mind boggled those with XY chromosomes for a long time.

I splurged for these during my B-day celebration in Montreal.

Dad: "Why would you buy those? You can't drive the tractor in those!"

These shoes have magic powers for sure! They have gotten me many free drinks when paired with a little black dress.

&& they are good for teaching lessons when the man is refusing to take me out because he wants to stay in && continue he couch potato cycle. I just throw on these pumps with a cute skirt && go out with the ladies. ( then all of the sudden he has a change of heart && wants to come )

I have a plethora of wellies but I justify that because I need them for work. (wink wink) I wear them everytime I go out to harvest in the fields && they look super cute when paired with jean shorts at the farmers market! Showing a little leg always boosts flower sales. hehehe

These pink leopard mary jane platforms are on my radar! && if this season goes well they will def be on my shelf. I would look amazing driving the old John Deere in these babies!

Snowdrops

Found these beauties popping up through the pine needles beneath the trees.

They had taken over the entire woodland floor. It was quite a sight!

Pave!

Pave

Pave is a floral style where all the flowers are at one level clustered together. The flowers dont have to be always be the same.

This style is also used in jewelry design where the diamonds are all clustered together with no metal from the ring showing in between them.

On the farm side of things...

Today I am working on another greenhouse I have been trying to get done for a while. I will attempt not to fall off the ladder.
I am also restoring a 150 year old desk to go into my office. It is so charming! Pictures soon to come.

The seedling babies are happy and growing away!

Adorable Daffodils

I encountered many different types of Daffodils last weekend && it got me really excited for when my Daffs come to visit me again on the farm this spring!

I grow many different varieties on my farm but because Daffs are sold everywhere in the spring && many people have the common varieties blooming in their own yards I stick to growing unique varieties that are either large cupped or are very high in fragrance. My two most popular varietes are Frangrant Rose && Geranium.

Just remember to keep your Daffodils seperate from your Tulips! They do not get along...Sad trombone : (
This is due to the sap that leaks from the Daffs && Tulips don't like it.
